How to use the QR code generator

Choose the type of QR code you want. For a UPI payment QR, enter your UPI ID and name, and optionally a fixed amount and note. For a WhatsApp chat QR, enter a mobile number and an optional message that will appear ready to send. For anything else, choose Text or link and paste a website address, Wi-Fi details or plain text. The QR code appears instantly; press Download PNG to save a high-resolution image for printing or sharing.

UPI QR codes for shops and freelancers

A UPI QR lets customers pay you by scanning with any UPI app, such as BHIM, Google Pay, PhonePe or Paytm. The code contains a standard UPI payment link with your UPI ID and name. Leave the amount blank for a general QR that customers can use for any amount, which is ideal for printing at a shop counter. Fill in an amount for a one-time QR, for example on an invoice, so the customer does not have to type it.

Before printing, scan the QR with your own phone and make a small payment to confirm that the money reaches the right account. Payments go directly from the customer’s bank to yours; FreeAllTool never handles your money or sees your transactions.

Stay safe with UPI

A QR code is used to send money. You never need to scan a QR or enter your UPI PIN to receive money. If someone asks you to scan a code to receive a refund or payment, it is a scam. Read our guide on UPI and online payment safety.

WhatsApp chat QR

A WhatsApp QR opens a chat with your number when scanned, without the customer saving your contact first. It works well on visiting cards, shop posters and product packaging. Add a pre-filled message such as “Hi, I want to know the price of…” to make it even easier.

Private and free

QR codes are created in your browser. The details you enter are not sent to our server, and the codes do not expire, because they are not linked to any tracking service.

Frequently asked questions

Will the UPI QR work with every UPI app?

It uses the standard UPI payment link, which is supported by major UPI apps. Test it with a small payment before printing.

Do these QR codes expire?

No. They are static codes that contain your details directly, so they keep working as long as your UPI ID or link is valid.

Can I change the amount after printing?

No. If you need different amounts, leave the amount blank so the customer types it.
