Photo & Signature Resizer
Resize a photo or signature to exact pixels and KB for exam and job forms.
Examples (check your own notification):
How to use the photo and signature resizer
Choose a photo or scanned signature from your phone or computer. Enter the width and height in pixels and the minimum and maximum file size in KB given in your application form, or tap one of the example buttons. Choose whether the image should fill the frame (cropping the edges if needed) or fit inside it with a white border. Press Resize photo, check the preview, and download the JPG.
How it reaches the right KB
After resizing to your exact pixel dimensions, the tool tries different JPG quality levels and picks the highest quality that stays under your maximum size. That way your photo is as clear as possible while still being accepted by the form. If the result is still above the maximum at the lowest quality, try smaller dimensions. If it is below the minimum even at the highest quality, use slightly larger dimensions or a sharper original.
Your photo never leaves your device
Many resizer websites upload your photo to their server. This tool does all the work inside your browser, so your photo and signature are not uploaded, stored or seen by anyone. That matters for identity documents.
Requirements differ between exams
Every recruitment body and university sets its own rules for photo size, signature size, background colour, and sometimes the date the photo was taken. The example buttons show commonly seen values only. Always use the exact numbers in your own notification. A few forms also ask for the photo to show the candidate’s name and date, or for a thumb impression or handwritten declaration, which you can resize the same way.
Tips for a photo that gets accepted
- Use a recent, front-facing photo with a plain light background and even lighting.
- Your face should take up most of the frame, with both ears visible and no dark glasses.
- For signatures, sign with a black or blue pen on plain white paper, then photograph it in good light and crop close to the signature.
- Check the preview before uploading; if your head is cut off, choose “Fit inside” instead of “Fill and crop”.
Frequently asked questions
Is my photo uploaded to your server?
No. Resizing happens entirely in your browser and the photo never leaves your device.
Why is my file still larger than the maximum KB?
At very large dimensions even low-quality JPGs can be big. Reduce the width and height to the values your form asks for.
Which format does the tool save in?
It saves as JPG, the format accepted by almost all online application forms.
